My wife and I are senior citizens and we needed a complete renovation of my upstairs bathroom. The old bathroom included a water jets tub which requires you to lift your leg up and over that could lead to a terrible fall. We developed a plan with Jeff and his crew to completely demolish the existing bathroom down to the bare studs. We also eliminated the need to keep the radiator for heat. Since the entire bathroom was open to major improvements. The plumbing and electrical components had to be to be completely replaced. By removing the bathtub we were able to have a virtual step-in shower with overhead and wall components. In addition, we added a portable adjustable wand that can be used whether standing or sitting on the shower bench. The entire bathroom floor - both in and out of the shower along with the shower bench is heated by a program used by the homeowner. We also upgraded our toilet with a Toto Bidet which users can adjust the water heat. We replaced the mirror with a user friendly light mirror combination as well as keeping the humidity off the mirror. By removing the radiator we had Jeff put in a heated towel rack. And in order to replace the heat provided by the radiator, Jeff put in a combination overhead heater component with exhaust fan. Jeff also put in ADA compliant shower bars in and out of the shower area. Jeff also uses an expert in tile installation. And Jeff has deals with Staten Island distributors for a significant price savings. Jeff also uses experts in glass shower door installation. In summation, Jeff and crew were extremely professional and courteous. Another great quality they exhibited was to clean up the work area every day. Therefore, if you need a great price for great work, you can’t go wrong with this great firm.
Deck Staining and Sealing in Staten Island, NY
Hughes Home Improvements provides professional deck staining and sealing for homeowners across Staten Island.
Expert Deck Staining and Sealing in Staten Island, NY
Deck staining and sealing protects your wood deck from the wear Staten Island weather delivers year-round. Nor'easter moisture, winter freeze-thaw cycles, and humid summers put constant stress on untreated wood. Without a proper stain and seal coat, wood can gray, crack, and absorb water that leads to rot. Our process starts with a thorough surface clean to remove dirt, mildew, and old residue. Prep work matters because stain only bonds well to clean, dry wood. Once the surface is ready, we apply stain and sealer to lock out moisture and block UV damage. As a family owned and operated company, we treat every deck like it belongs to one of our own. We serve homeowners across Staten Island and New Jersey, so we know what local wood decks face season after season. If your deck looks faded, feels rough underfoot, or shows gray weathering, staining and sealing is the right next step. Contact Hughes Home Improvements to get started.
